Gideon joined PaCoN looking to help his local community by conducting research into the number and type of people who own small farms or raise “backyard pigs” in Oklahoma and how they handle the potential risks for disease outbreaks with their swine stock. 

 

His goals being to further supporting local Oklahoma farming community by creating new educational materials, and further developing practices to best assist swine owners and farmers in helping prevent disease spread and decrease the risk for human and animal health.
