About Me
As Director of GPDN, Stack provides regional leadership for the National Plant Diagnostic Network (70 diagnostic labs in U.S. states and territories) for the rapid detection and accurate diagnosis of high consequence pathogens and pests. He is principal investigator for biosecurity projects regarding emerging diseases and high consequence plant pathogens with a history of collaboration in Europe, the Middle East, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. Research interests include diagnostics, pathogen detection and surveillance, emerging diseases in natural and agricultural plant systems, and system resilience.
