Ariel is studying for a 2-year master's degree. She has her BS in Plant and Environmental Protection Sciences from UH Manoa. Her current research is Molecular diagnostics, Disease Management, and Viral Pathology.

 

In the laboratory and in the field, her interest is focused on discovering any molecular mysteries of plant diseases threatening native Hawaiian plant species. Her aspiration is to develop strategies for their protection, ensuring their survival for future generations to witness, appreciate and learn from these unique species.
